Financial Freedom

I’m not one who typically sends email forwards (except for a select inner circle – you know who you are).  And I don’t think I’ve ever posted a church announcement on my website.  But this is too big an opportunity to keep quiet, so I am posting it here for any in the Baton Rouge area, or even within driving range of the BR community.

Dear Chapel Family,

For a number of years now our church has been offering the 10 week study by Crown Financial Ministries. Over 150 people have completed the course. Many have personally told me how significantly it affected both their biblical understanding of money and their personal handling of the money. In an effort to offer this life-changing teaching to others in our church and community, we are offering the Journey to Financial Freedom one day seminar by Crown Ministries. It is Saturday, January 24 from 8:30 am-4 pm at The Chapel in the Oaks (9611 Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70810).

Yesterday, I talked with a graduate of the 10 weeks course who told me he was going to the seminar and bringing a friend! This is a great idea for those that could use help with their finances but don’t know where to begin. If your Spring has ‘sprung’ like ours, there is a lot going on each weekend. It is like we’re still trying to make up from the month Baton Rouge lost in the hurricane!

I encourage you to consider this great opportunity. I encourage you to invite a friend and then attend together. We have alerted and invited many others from area churches. Our hope is that during this time of financial uncertainty, we can provide certainty of what God says about money and wealth through this one day seminar. Our vision is that people will find freedom, answers and peace in the God of all riches and his gift of Jesus!
