“Life is better with HDTV!”

Highly Developed Teen Vision

God has called and equipped me to be a source of hope, healing, and guidance to teens, their parents, and their families.  I am grateful for the various opportunities He has given me to touch the lives of teens and their families via counseling, seminars, camps, schools, and churches.  Recently, I believe God has called me to begin a monthly gathering of individuals from various professions and organizations who also have a passion for touching the lives of teens with hope, healing, and guidance.  The essential purpose of this meeting will be to bring together people with different experiences and positions to connect, encourage, seek, learn, and act in response to God’s vision regarding teens and their families.

Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8 from 7:30-9:00 pm at the front conference room of C-K Office Park at 17170 Perkins Rd, next to The Church of the Highlands and across from Galatoire’s Bistro.  Make your own plans for dinner, and we will have refreshments available at the meeting.  PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND, so I can be sure our meeting space is adequate.

At present, I am still seeking guidance regarding the organizational details of this ongoing conversation.  I do not want to give way to fear and passivity, nor do I want to give way to rash impulse.  The truth is, both extremes are familiar territory for me, and so I am doing my best to follow the better path of quiet, diligent, patient seeking of God’s will and leading.  I will use this page, among other means, to keep you updated as HDTV takes shape.  And for those outside the Baton Rouge area, or for more ongoing interaction,  join the conversation on Facebook.

And I would greatly appreciate your prayers for guidance regarding the organization and direction of this new connection point.

If you are a parent looking to experience your own Highly Developed Teen Vision, a couple of good places to start are my Parenting 101 page and the Center for Parent-Youth Understanding.
