Christian Blogger Awards Finalist!

Published by Roger Butner on

I was notified today that I am a finalist for Best Marriage/Family Oriented Blog in the Christian Blogger Awards for 2009.  Pretty cool deal.  I am truly humbled and honored.  However, I may get pulled from the running for posting this and bringing it to the attention of the “powers that be” of the Christian Blogger Awards, but I am no longer a member of a Church of Christ.

Well, be that as it may, here is the site where you can cast your vote, if you are so inclined.

Whatever happens with this award process, I will continue hoping, praying, and striving toward two aims with my blog.  1. That God is exalted and His truth is proclaimed to the glory of Christ with the empowering of the Holy Spirit.  2. That all who find themselves in my virtual neighborhood are provided with real encouragement and practical resources for living abundantly in peace, joy, and freedom.

Thanks for the recognition, Christian Blogger Awards and TheoBlogger!  No idea why Mike Cope’s blog didn’t make the cut, but nobody asked me.

With Hope in Him,

Roger

p.s. – I wanted to shout out some love and thanks to some folks who have paved the way and encouraged me tremendously in various ways throughout my journey of bloggery:

Jimmy Callahan, Blaine Tucker, John Dobbs, Mike Cope, Lori Thacker, “Big” Josh Nichols, Murphy Toerner, Scott Ginsberg, Ken Sneed, and everyone who have faithfully read and shared my blog.

Thanks!!!
